Pitcher Recovery from injury
I'm curious about an injury projection and what might happen to development. I'm sure there are some GM's here who have looked deeper into pitcher arm injuries than I have.
OK, injuries are set to 'normal' in a league in the mid 1950's. 18 year old SP with 2 years of H.S baseball is invited to S.T. and suffers a 'ruptured ulnar collateral ligament' and out 14 months. What are the 'odds' that he can put this injury behind him and be a somewhat healthy pitcher without reduced ratings?

Well, Tommy John surgery wasn’t a thing yet, so, historically speaking, his career is probably over. In game though, I’ve had guys who have both performed well, and guys who have tanked after UCL injuries. It’s kinda a crapshoot
