Export CSV lets you put all the stats into an Excel Document if you want to look at them like that.

A Quickstart is something you can create if you are wanting to change a bunch of things. It needs to be done on Day 1 though.

Download League Files only matters if you're in an Online League.

Shortlist is for Scouting, Fog of War is exactly what it sounds like.

When you start the game, on the bottom there's an option for "MANUAL". I suggest having it open while you play.

When I look at my roster in custom mode I see some players name in red. What does this means? When a player is protected what does that means?

In my custom league, I have 19 and 20 year old players with star rating of 1 or 1.5. In the next three or four years will these player star rating increase higher over the years. What is the best way to develop a young 19 or 20 year old player ?

Are they hurt? Red usually indicates that.

And P means essentially they can be sent down to the minors without having to pass through waivers. This information is also found in the Manual.

If a player is not 2 stars or above, do your best not to have them in your top league. Keep them lower until they get there.

Is there any way that a NHL team that drafted a college player that have a few years of college eligibility left in college to offer that college player a signing bonus to leave college early and join that team that drafted him?

Can you change the league rules from 3 years entry level contracts to 6 years 2 way contracts entry level contracts ? Also, is there any way that NHL teams can give out signing bonus ?

When I am setting up my custom code league and all 30 of my teams are hiring scouts, I am out of scouts to hire. there are no more scouts in the free agents center to hire. I have 20 more teams to hire scouts.Where can I get more scout to hire ?

In a Custom Game, you probably need 3 scouts per team. That's about it. The game will eventually generate more. You can't add more.

Turn off Trading on July 1st.

I am trying to sign a player to a 20 million dollar per year contract but the system won't let me go over 14 million dollar. How can i adjust the dollar amount?

This may be due to your budget. If you're in commissioner mode, you can either: adjust your budget (though maybe this can only be done July 1? I don't know honestly) or edit the player and have him sign for the 14 million. If you're not in commissioner mode, and it's the budget, you're stuck.

I just completed my first season in custom mode. Wow it was awesome. However, I notice in the free agent center that there are 14 and 15 year old players in the free agent center. Where did they come from? My 30 teams would like to sign these players but where would they play? They are too young to play in the NHL and for the farm teams. If my teams sign these players where can i put them?
