Diminishing returns Scouting Budget?
I little while ago I asked about the diminishing returns of the development budget as you get near league max. Seems like there’s still some benefit to maxing it out, even though it may not be the most efficient use of your total budget.
But what about scouting budget? Obviously with a low scouting budget you will have a “Low” report on most everyone. I’ve had my scouting budget maxed out for a couple seasons and it’s been nice to have high or very high reports on most everyone including amateurs, but I didn’t have much luck with scouting discoveries at all. I’ve read that there’s not a huge difference in accuracy when you go from “average” to “very high”, so I’m not sure how much impact it really is. Does anyone think it’s wise to max out a scouting budget? In my league it would be 45 million max. Last edited by brian_msbc; 01-04-2021 at 12:20 PM. |

I think it ultimately depends on your budget and team direction. If you're a contending team with a small budget it's probably best to direct those funds towards good players. If you're a rebuilding team with some money to spare, maximizing your scouting budget and emphasizing amateurs/international FA goes a long way in acquiring good young talent.
