Will FHM7 be able to...

I am thinking about adding FHM7 to my game inventory (i currently only have OOTP and that for the past 10 years). What I have in mind is to pick up the NHL and WHA in the early 1970's. Which leads me to a couple of questions.

Would I be able to continue both leagues in a world which there was never a merger? I would have around the same number of teams (as the real world) but they would be more equally distributed between the two leagues. Can the Soviet hockey team players be available to participate in the early 70's moving forward? And finally, could the winner of the Stanley Cup and the Avco World trophy winner (WHA winner) meet in a yearly championship series?

1. Yes you can play without a merger, In commissioner, you can change it so leagues never disband thus allowing you to continue on with the WHA
2. Yes you can play with soviet players just make sure iron curtain is off
3. No, there is currently no official way to have leagues play cross finals
