Rehab Start ?

Hello,
I have a starter coming off an injury. Is it necessary to send the pitcher to triple A for a rehab start?
I can't seem to find a transaction button for this.
perhaps I just demote to the minors - but he is a veteran who could refuse and he has no options.

I cant seem to find anything in the manual about this.

How long were they out?

There's no set rule for it. If it was just 15 days, you're probably fine without a rehab start.

If it was a couple months, you'll probably want to give them at least one.

If you're on the injury list screen and right click on the player it'll open a menu. There's an option for Transactions, from that menu you can choose rehab assignment.

If you've already moved them onto the active roster, you may not be able to do this.

Thanks for the information.
Its actually a player coming off being on the restricted list.
Michael Pineda's PED suspension.
I have another pitcher that went on the IL so he slots in nicely.
I saw the transactions button but only saw a
"demote to the minors" - which caused me to pause.

Thanks again , I'll throw him in there and see what happens.
