Closer Stamina less than 4
I have been shopping around for another closer. The two best available have stamina of 1 and 4. I think this is just too limiting. A couple of long at-bats and he might not finish an inning? And what is the bounce back? What do you think? Thank you.

Well, first, what scale are you using?
1-5, imagine you'll be fine 1-100 would be a little different Is this an established league with a history? How many pitches have they been able to throw in their previous gsmes? How many days do they have between appearances? There's a lot of information sitting there waiting for you to look at it |

1 & 4 out of 100?!?! I think I'd be hitting the Shop Around button if I were in your shoes.

But there's data for them How many pitchers are they throwing per outing? And how many games/innings are they throwing a season? You have information to use |

I had a 4 stamina closer, limited him to 8 hitters any time he came in, and he was fine. His stuff was amazing (125, movement 60, control 55), with three pitches Fastball 110, Sinker 81, Slider 96) groundball power pitcher with velocity 100+ (clearly I have ratings over 100 visible). Three seasons of 43 saves, 2.14, .79 WHIP, 18/8 K/9; 53 saves, 9.89 ERA, .73 WHIP, 17.1 K/9; 40 saves (3.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP as walks rose to 4.6/9 and 16.4/K9).

I'm missing something here because these ratings and results, along with those of the OP, make absolutely no sense to me.
In my standard games (and this has been fairly consistent for the four years I've been purchasing OOTP) I use the 20-80 ratings scale. A reliever with 30/80 stamina would have to be very effective and 'pitch efficient' to last anywhere close to 8 batters. I play out all my MLB games pitch by pitch but I'm posting my ratings for comparison sake only. In the leagues I play, I can't imagine relievers with 1/100 or 4/100 stamina lasting more than one batter. |

Problems obviously are that even if rested he could do 20 pitches, any fatigue on him and he might start to struggle to even get 1 inning in. Might be a good option to use in short stints, get out of an inning with a couple outs and a runner on or whatnot, but gotta be careful using him to close a game for sure. |
