Deep Shift Right?

I have literally played out hundreds of games and never seen the AI manager select Deep Shift Right. Any ideas why?

In my GAME SETTINGS, I have selected Infield Shifts: Very Often.

In my team settings under STRATEGY, I have Use Infield Shifts set all the way to the right > Frequently.

In the GAME OPTIONS, I have selected AI sets initial defense.

So even if the batter is a LH Extreme Pull Hitter, it never sets defense in the Deep Shift Right position. It will go as far as Hard Shift Right but not Deep Shift Right.

**I know I can manually select Deep Shift Right but am curious why AI doesn't ever use it. When I'm managing my team against an AI manager I would think it would be used more often (instead of never) - it is a very common defensive alignment these days - especially against an extreme pull hitter.

The other issue with selecting it manually myself is....it reverts back to another defensive position after every pitch. So if you have a 10 pitch at bat, you have to re-select the defensive position every pitch. It would be great if the defense stayed in the same defensive alignment that you selected until the at bat is over - unless you change it yourself.

Thoughts?

If you go to league settings then stats ai, at the far bottom left under general strategic tendencies you will find infield shifts, set that to extreme then ai will start setting deep shift right.

I already have the Infield Shifts set at VERY OFTEN. I just changed it to EXTREME. I'll see if that makes a difference.

The defenses in my league shift frequently already based on the "League/Stats & AI/ Shifts " settings and the individual manager strategy settings - just never a DEEP SHIFT RIGHT.
