League is not well run, always has inactive teams and commish cares more about worrying if GMs will be sensitive to criticism then having a realistic competitive league. I could make a multiple page post about all of the issues in this league but the below bullet points can summarize the level of ineptitude, the rest can be seen just from viewing the rosters and transaction history in statsplus.


-The commissioner allowed a rule 5 draft to occur with several teams that were not managed and did not have the organization on auto. The issue was raised to the commissioner prior to the draft and nothing was done about it. Multiple top 100 prospects were in the rule 5 draft, the commissioner himself drafted a prospect rated #59 overall from the unmanaged team. Shortly after the team's farm system was depleted by rule 5 he filled the team.

-Multiple teams in the league barely participate except for uploading an export once every couple of weeks. The most recent World Series champion San Diego was unmanaged for over half the season and won with AI control. The commissioner did not even attempt to fill the team till the year was over and after all their draft picks went unsigned. In addition to this team, 5 other first round picks went unsigned including the #2 overall pick Kumar Rocker. Some from inactivity and some from bad management.

More information about this corrupt commissioner:

This league has a rule stating a contract cannot increase or decrease by more then 20%.

I had signed a player (Danny Jansen) to a low priced extension where every year was less then $5mill. One year the value goes down from 4.6mill to 3.1mill. To be honest since the values are so small I did not even think about this rule when offering the contract not realizing that it was actually greater then 20% increase.

The commissioner then reached out to me about this contract, saying he needed to adjust the values. I told him I had not realized the values were 20% difference because of the low value of the contact and voiced my displeasure with the limited financial flexibility this causes for low prices contracts but said I would be ok with the adjustment he was making to make the contract in line with rules.

I then realized that the commissioner was adding 1.55 million to the total value of the contract instead of simply just adjusting the yearly values to fit his rule. As you can see from the screenshots the total value of the contract has increased.

I also then noticed that the commissioner was not fairly enforcing this rule for other teams within the league, including HIS OWN TEAM. The commissioner is Seattle Mariners, in the screenshot you will see he has a contract which increases from 5.5 million year 1 to 8.0 Million year 2 which is a 45% increase. Another examples is Boston Red Sox contract for Harrison Bader increase of 9 million to 11.7 miilion to 14 miilion which are both over 20% (30%). Same issue for Francisco Lindor contract in the league, over 20% increase.

When I asked about why my contract was being penalized by increasing the total value of the deal when others in the league had violations for contracts with even higher value, including his own team - I was immediately removed from the slack group and league without any explanation. To date the commissioner still has not replied to my email.

Normally I would not make these type of posts on the forum but I felt the need to warn everyone about this commissioner. All of proof is in the screenshots i've attached here and for the time being on statplus, he may go and try to edit the contracts so they may soon be adjusted on statsplus to cover his tracks.

None of this had to be in a public forum if the commissioner just resolved the issue internally and fairly enforced the rule for all teams, and fixed and adjusted all the contracts. Instead he chose to delete me from the slack immediately when I brought up the unfairness of increasing my contract value and not enforcing for himself and other teams.
