32 team schedule request.

I just expanded to 32 teams in my league and i'd like a custom schedule but I can't figure out how to make my own. I have 2 subleagues, 4 divisions each, with 4 teams each.

I want to set it up so each year I play one 3 games series against all 4 teams from 2 seperate divisions in the opposite subleague(24 interleague games). Then one home 3 game series and one away 3 game series against each of the 12 non divisional teams in my subleague(72 subleague games). Then 22 games against the 3 teams in my division spread out over 6-8 series between 2 and 4 games in length(66 in divisional games).

So 24 interleague games split amongst 8 different teams, 72 subleague games split amongst 12 different teams, and 66 divisional games split amongst 3 different teams.

And if possible I would like a pack of 4 or more schedules so I get a home and away against every interleague team.

Thanks in advance!

What day of the week should this start? It looks to me as if Sunday's the best option, because the 2-game divisional series would make a midweek start a bit awkward.

I'm not too picky on the start date, Sunday will be fine if you think that will work the best.

To me it doesn't look like 2-game series would be necessary. The best option looks like this IMO:

- all series outside the division are 3 games. That's 96 games and 32 series, meaning that the other 66 games should theoretically be played as 20 series.
- 20 series vs. 3 division opponents resolves as 7, 7 and 6
- So, I would play one division opponent 12H/10A, and one 10H/12A over 7 series apiece (4 3-game series one way, two 3s and a 4 the other way), and the other opponent 11H/11A with 4 of those 6 series being four-gamers.

That gets you to the ideal 162 games in 52 series & doesn't require any awkward 2-game sets, & frees everything up for the typical Thursday or Friday season start.

To prevent a repeat of a certain past incident: you're the one making this schedule, right? I usually only pick up the ones you don't, if at all.

Schedules for 32 teams, 162 games - 2 subleagues, each with 4 divisions of 4 teams
Interleague YES, balanced games NO
----------
22 games vs. 3 division opponents (10-12H/10-12A)
6 games vs. 12 league opponents (3H/3A)
3 games vs. 8 interleague opponents (3H or 3A)
----------
4 schedules included to provide every interleague matchup - you'll play every interleague team every other year, and in their ballpark every fourth year. Put the four schedules into the same folder, import one and they should rotate automatically
All series outside the division are 3 games, and there are a smattering of 4-game sets inside the division
----------
Season is normal MLB length, beginning on the last Friday of March and ending on a Sunday in late Sept or early Oct
ASG in the normal spot, a Tuesday in early-mid July
All weekday games begin at 7:05 local time, Sunday games 1:05, and Saturdays a mix of 1:05, 4:05 and 7:05
----------
There are a couple instances of a team going 3+ weeks without an off day, but those should be exceedingly rare
Outside of the all-star break, the longest homestands/road trips are 11 games. I do see two teams who each have a 13-game road trip but that spans the ASB so they have a little time to go home in between
