Pitching help

I have about 200K PP. Is there a legitimate pitcher that I can get that can actually be helpful all the way through the leagues for that price? I am only in Gold but I want to make sure if I am spending that many points I am getting someone that lasts. Otherwise I will keep saving.

Or am I better picking someone up like an Oscar Charleston or a Jackie Robinson.

With some of the FOTF players still to be released, I'd suggest you wait and hold onto those points. While certain pitchers have held up to the new influx of FOTF batters that have come into the leagues, others that were fairly solid have wavered a bit facing even stronger lineups than before. There are some solid pitchers for use at least at Diamond still for what you are looking to spend but as I mentioned, that could change depending on how strong the rest of the FOTF batters are when they are released. The most obvious pitchers that hold their value are 100 Hubbell and Maddux along with a few others and all are still above your budget. I'm holding onto my points too at the moment because in the past month whenever I purchase a new player on the AH, it's been one step forward followed by 2 steps back. Try to hold out for a few more weeks unless you come across a fantastic deal on the AH.

Good to know. I was looking at guys like Ruffing because of the high stuff and control, but the movement worried me.

For what it's worth, I looove Ruffing. He has the gas to start or be one of the game's best stoppers. We also know only one more non-topper SP will be in FOTF from hints on the discord. I don't know if I'd tap him as SP1 but he's surely usable. Maybe instead I'd go with FOTF Seaver or Price if pressed to get an ace, though.

My rotation is a mess. I have:
SE Maddux
SE Blyleven
SE Carlton
95 Tanana
97 Vance

My bullpen is not any better. Whenever I try and get a closer in the upper 90s, he ends up with an ERA over 5

The OVR of the player that you get won't make any difference. You're likely to see better production from a guy like 95 Howry over a lot of high diamond and even some perfect alternatives, depending on some factors.
