Forum formatting issue

When I've been submitting posts to the forum, I have seen large amounts of what looks to be HTML code become visible in the text box when editting posts, making it difficult to find what I want to edit. Is this a known issue/how can this be resolved?

In the text-editing box, there's a button at the top right that looks like a small A on top of a big A. Press that button. That changes the HTML code to regular text.
