Service Time Question
Hoping I can get some clarification around service time for the off-season.
In our league we had a GM place a player on the secondary roster to protect him from the Rule V draft. His contract was not automatically changed from a MiLC to a MLC. And after 2 weeks of simming in game, he has not accumulated any service time on the Secondary Roster. My two questions are: 1. Should a player who is transferred to the 40-man be automatically changed to a MLC, or does this change only happen as of a certain date (i.e. January 1); 2. When does Secondary Roster Time start accumulating? Is it the same as Major League Service Time, and only accumulates during the season? Thanks for the help! |

Yeah, only during the season does service time start counting. They'll be switched over to an MLB deal I think also only when the season starts.
