Play By Play Not Right!!!

Hello, I am hoping someone can help. I just got OOTP 5, I am a OOTP 4 user already. When playing a game, The PbP screen rolls over top of itself. The batter and pitcher information does not disappear and the PbP just keeps going in the background. It also does not scroll up the screen it just writes over itself. Anyone with help or info please respond, this is driving me nuts. Thanks a lot.

i am using win xp home version on desktop pc. pc is 6 mths old. 2 GHZ celeron processor. hp 533w. 256 RAM.

Go into the OOTP5 folder and open the "game config" file, toggle the 3d setting, close those things and try the game again.

If that doesn't solve it, go to start then run and type dxdiag and hit enter. The direct X utility will open and it will let you know what version of direct X you are have installed. If it is less than v9 go to http://www.microsoft.com download and install v9, reboot your computer and then try the game again.

One of these two things should get things going. Please let me know if you are still having problems after trying both of these.

Sorry for the delay, that worked. Once I got it up and running, thanks to your help, I haven't stopped playing. This game is so addictive, I love it. Thanks again for your help!
