Position changes
More dumb questions from me lol. I have 4 legitimate closers on my team. I will be keeping two in a set up role and one as a closer at least. It always seems like if my closer is struggling, and I move him out of the role, the player who takes his place plummets no matter how well he was doing before. I had JJ Putz closing and after 8 seasons of ERAs under 4 he was struggling with an ERA over 5. I then switched Joe Nathan to closer who had an ERA in the low 2s and the time and he promptly blew his first three save chances. I then brought in Roberto Osuna to close and his ERA went from 2.50 to 5.15 in two weeks. Was I just unlucky or is there something more going on when you make a bullpen guy switch roles mid season?

just bad luck, amplified by a high-visibility role

It is my experience that Osuna gets lit at every level I have ever played him at. If I didn't lock his card when I did the Astro's mission I'd never want to see his face again....ymmv
Yaz 99 never hit squat for me either....everyone else's have though lol
