"#Error: Category Not Found
I keep getting the message "#Error: Category Not Found" as either the title of a message, the content of a message or both. I've tried reloading the game and uninstalling, yet nothing fixes the problem.
I did some checking online and found a person with a similar problem, to which someone posted a dropbox link, but the link redirected me to a 404 page. |

That sounds like something in the news database is corrupted. Is it happening in every game you start, or only one? If it's just the one game, could you upload that save (instructions here)? I'm not sure if it's fixable for the older messages, but we may be able to fix it so it doesn't keep occurring in new ones.

It's happening in every game. Should I still upload the save?

Ah, that likely means a data file in the installation is missing or corrupt, but that should've been fixed when you reinstalled. Are you playing the Steam version or the standalone one?

Try having Steam verify the game files - right-click on FHM6 in your library, select Properties, then the Local Files tab, and click on "Verify Integrity of Game Files." If something's not there or not what it should be, that'll fix it. Normally an uninstall/reinstall would fix that, too, but it could be that the initial download got corrupted and Steam is still trying to reinstall from that corrupted download in its cache.

Still not working, should I try loading the game on a different device and seeing if that works?

Worth a shot, but it's an odd error to get on one system and not another.
