Season 13 better be one of turnarounds for me as the Longview Woodchucks are stuck striking Iron, the Nacogdoches Jacks are encased in Stone, and Stephanie's Neffin-neffs are all Bronzed up. All this despite all three teams having every player but two (both on the Woodchucks) at Gold level or higher.

We will see....

Nice pull, Bailey!

I've only pulled one perfect thus far, but it was Live -- Ronald Acuna, Jr.

After spending last year in 3 different leagues, all 3 of my FTP teams are back in Gold, suggesting that this is their level until I pull some big cards or save up enough to buy some difference makers. All three are off to fast starts, however, with the Cluckers at 6-3, the Irregulars at 5-3, and Los Perros at 7-3.

I have started tinkering with ballpark factors for Los Perros, which have a lefty-heavy lineup. Early results have been ridiculously, unsustainably good so far, with 5 players currently posting at least 167 OPS+.

The plan for the week is to finalize all three teams' Silver tournament rosters then resume saving for some BIG cards. The tournament strategy has focused primarily on Iron/Bronze/Silver Bo5 and Bo7 tournaments with some Bo3 mixed in, though at this point I might start looking into the weeklies if the cards fit my teams' needs.

I seriously just got swept in a tournament losing 4 games by 1 run, two in extra innings and a third blowing a 4 run lead in the 9th.

And to Matt of all people! In the monthly super cap! That I was looking forward to!

First season in gold for the Corsairs, thought they'd be completely outclassed but the division looks like they'll be competitive against everyone but MineHill which had the best record in our silver league last week. I'll see how April went when I get home from work later tonight...

Well, despite LBCAS (I'm not writing out the whole thing) starting 20-2 and the Bombardiers starting 13-1, somehow the White Tigers are leading D.358 NC at 22-6 after the first day. We're up 3 on the Bombardiers (who we swept in our first clash). League only has 26 teams, 12 in the NC. Gehringer's been a nice addition so far, hitting .344.

Lowdown Lugnuts are repeating Silver again after 2 100+ win seasons followed by WC exits, they started slow but behind the bat of Hugh Duffy .340/.423/.568 we put together a 10 game winning streak to finish the sim 19-8, good for a 5 1/2 game lead, feels nice to be in a whale free division for once. 1st in steals and runs scored though the pitching and D is lagging behind a little

Bay City Boomers had a solid debut month in Diamond 13-13 despite the bats being much quieter than expected. Billy Williams and Keith Hernandez are carrying the load for the most part. The pitching is much better than expected 4th in runs allowed, a big chunk of that is down to the D as we are 10th in FIP, perfect time to decide to train up a new 3B then! my platoon OF Al Simmons currently has a 1.711 ops but we are still 1-4 vs lefties because no one else is hitting them. Also worth noting that our home ballpark has max offence factors and we played 14 games there so far, making the pitching performance even more impressive

Paragon City Heroes adjusted to life nicely back in gold going 17-9 despite not really playing up to the level they should be, Torre who was an automatic .800+ ops in diamond is at .666, Lansford who was an automatic .290+ hitter is at .240 , only 2 starters are above 100 ops+. We are dominating most pitching categories while scoring no runs despite being 3rd in average, we clearly need more extra base hits

Longview Woodchucks are 14-13 in Iron .206, pretty much at average across the board except for strikeouts, which they are 2nd from the bottom.

Nacogdoches Lumberjacks, a team with five diamonds and the rest being golden men, are not doing well, 12-13 in Stone .116. This is surprising to me that they are not at least in Bronze.

In Bronze .231, Stephanie's Neffin-neffs are shockingly 11-15, embroiled in a four-game losing streak, with two Perfects, four Diamonds and the rest Gold. This team has tasted Silver, but playing like Rookies.

So, it bodes me to wonder if the competition has gotten better or am I just mired to have a few more off seasons of woe and torment?

Shared two leagues with your Neffin-neffs and in both they were a tough nut to crack Hang in there!

Well, Mount Hawke look to be heading for another 77 win season. They're getting better and giving very good teams a decent game, but that just seems to amount to losing games by a smaller margin . They don't have enough X factor yet... In a winnable division though, so if they can just drag themselves up to .500...

The Grackles have made a flying start, but they're punching a bit above their weight. If they go .500 the rest of the season I'll be quite happy. I'm watching Bailey's Magpies getting their act together pretty quickly though, led by Brouthers . Making me reconsider my next DH target.

Longview Woodchucks are 27-27, 4th place and four games out of the AC East in Iron .206...no Silver achievements yet.

Nacogdoches Jacks are 27-26, 3rd place and 5.5 games out of NC East lead in Stone .116 and like the Woodchucks, no Silver achievements.

Stephanie's Neffin-neffs are 21-31, 8.5 games out of NC Central in 4th place at the Bronze .231. Also in danger of regulation. One lone silver achievement for a three-HR game.

Tough season ahead...

I just broke the MLB record by hitting 11 home runs in a game.

And got zero points for that achievement.

Impulse bought Gold Killebrew after a very long day at work to finish off the 1960s Hitters collection, and the second Historical Pack paid off quite well.

Don't know if I should sell him, he doesn't sell for nearly as much as I thought he would. I'm also five golds short of the 1960s Pitchers and that will probably cost me 50,000.

Anyways, got some time to think as I don't put new players into the lineup after Tuesday.

Corsairs are hanging in there, 44-38 and three games back in division while two and a half in the wild card. Expected to be getting roughed up so I'm happy with their performance.
