Download Rosters here

You can get the rosters here:

http://www.adventureran.com/mods/DBrosters.zip

Then very LARGE photoset still has about an hour and a half to go until its uploaded, but I would definitely guarantee getting it once its done, because it covers about 85% of the entire set of about 3600 players. I'll post that site once its done.

Dodger,

I appreciate the rosters, thanks for your hard work...However, I do see a potential problem. It looks as though you took their actual salaries when it's been stated that we should only take about 70 percent of their salaries because of OOTP's financial engine. Just something to look at, I know it was hard enough being the Cubs, and not being in debt even though I was constantly selling out the park with reduced salaries now it'll be even tougher with actual salaries....Great set though..>Everything looks pretty decent as far as ratings go except for the salaries...Thanks so much

I know this is probably in the other thread about these rosters, but what is the difference between these rosters and GForce's rosters? I have a career with GForce's rosters, but I just downloaded your rosters as well and I am wondering what the difference is?

Thanks, Dodger!

Um...is this "real salaries" vs. "OOTP's Financial Model" really that big of a deal? Isn't there some way to adjust it?

I think you can adjust them. if everyone would like, i could gather a list of all the contracts and salaries so everyone can adjust them, themselves. I did forget about the 70% salary thing, I hadn't played multiple seasons yet so I'd never come across any problems.

DB, I think to cya you ought to be telling people who dl this file that they ought to expect to be beta testing it, yes? From what I understand the financial problem if not corrected is going to be a game stopper.

There is an OOTP5 option that allows you to computer generate salaries. This works very well, so the finances are not a problem.

Re:Rosters

Thnaks Dodger for the Rosters, they look great. Have one question though. Why are some players name in RED and not White like the others? Is this a problem?

Go to "league setup" then click the "Advanced Setup" tab, then hit "Assign AI Generated Contracts for all Players" which is in the same section as the salary cap, and ammy draft length. OOTP5 does not handle real MLB salaries as I heard, so you need to use this option before playing.

Thanks gpm and Uncle Lou. Great idea. I didnt know about that option. Should work great.

A-Rod's contract SCREAMS for an adjustment.

Okcyankee - I assume that the players in red are injured?

The only problem with CPU generated contracts is with players who should be making the minimum (rookies)

Yes, and I think if you auto generate contracts, that the players that should be wtih your team for 5 years become free agents that year....

I have finally begun to play myself a career using the rosters and already see a couple things I would like to change, ratings wise for some players. Not many. I also am gonna look at the offseason and see what happens with full contracts. I didn't think there would be that much of a problem since alot of players are FA's after 2003 and wouldn't get the HUGE deals from the computer GM's. But we'll see. So that I can better track the problems and what not, I encourage everyone to email me at hwoolf13@yahoo.com with any problems, suggestions, as I normally check emails often, but don't come to the board often as evidence by my 70 posts in about 2 years visiting these boards.
If I forsee a huge problem, I will make updates through the weekend and and do a re-release on Tuesday. But hopefully thats not the case, as I know alot of you have been looking forward to ser rosters to play with.

Another idea to counteract the finances is to increase every teams revenue by 30% through merchadising revenue or TV contracts to counteract the real salaries.

Bout to download these and take a look.

Thanks Dodger.

Hey all,

I added a tad bit extra to each teams current fan interest and everything was just fine for my first year, the top unsigned free agents left were Gilkey and Collier among the batters and Driskill was the best pitcher...remember in 2003 Tejada, Sheffield, Lofton, etc. to name a few were the cream of the class. Plus teams like the Yanks after 2003 went from 170 to 120 million dollar payrolls, and my Dodgers went from 100 to 68 million.... so things were pretty much normal.

Steve...good to hear that you're enjoying them... I worked hard on 'em.
