Moving a player up the scout task list, what's the point? Bug?

I added a MLB player, that was offered to me in a trade, to my scout task list while my scout was looking at a ton of draft pool players. It was noted it would take 11 days to get a report back on the MLB player. I wanted a quicker report and saw I can move a player up the scout task list. My expectation was this would ask the scout to prioritize the MLB player and would cut down the days I'd have to wait while pushing back some of the draft pool players. But....

As I moved him up the list the 11 days did not change. I waited a three days and he only counted down from 11 days to 8 days. I'd be fine if moving to the top doesn't instantly make him a 1 day report due to logistics but, shouldn't it at least cut the time? If not, what is the point of being able to move players up and down if it doesn't change the priority of the request?

Working as intended or a bug?

I’ve had similar situations....seems pretty normal in my experiences.

Never mind

Just went back to my game, advanced a day, and the MLB player was scouted. The 11 days in the Approx Duration column never changed but the scouting was actually done on day 4.

The approximate duration is so far off from how long it takes, that is actually completely worthless. If it was removed it wouldn't change anything.

It could says days and days and you'll get like 20 reports the next day. Worthless. And to continue I am not even sure what the big difference from low to very high scouted is. Usually it barely changes anything. Its not like the scouted info is completely wrong. Some things change by 5 points or so. I've never seen a huge major difference.

I'm fine with it being a "best guess". My concern was nothing changing as I moved the player up the list. Since the game actually did the scouting early, though the display didn't change, I'm happy with it.
