The AI sees it as a minimal injury, so it is no different than a bruise or pulled muscle. In real life, he probably would sit out.

Maybe, he only has blurred vision in his left eye while the right eye is perfectly fine. No reason to sit out just for that.

You obviously don't have blurred vision in your left eye and clear vision in your right. Hitting a baseball with that condition is hopeless.

But, of course, the game knows only that the injury is "minimal" and has attached this label to it without knowing what it means in non-cybernetic life.
