Player Expectations for OOTP 22? Suggestion
Hi Devs - can you add to player expectations in OOTP 22?
in the contract section it would be nice to promise a platoon role or to have players expect to at least be in a platoon. As it currently stands, If I sign a guy who I want to platoon on my team, he'll get upset that he's not starting and ask to be traded. Maybe add a role expectations screen for all players before the start of the season? As an example, everytime I play as the Mets GM, 37 year old catcher Rene Rivera wants to be traded mid-season because he feels he should be starting. It would be great if I can modify his expectations and let him know he's a: Bench/Backup Player Platoon Player Starter Same with RP who expect to be closers. It would be nice to be able to promise them the "Setup" role on my team. I've had free agent RP who knew I had a great closer, get mad because they aren't the closer on my team once they sign. Any thoughts on this? |

I think this could be a good idea when making a FA an offer.
However when a player is already on your team I wouldn't think of it as modifying his expectations, his expectations are what they are. I would look at it as a way of defining the role you are going to give him. It will then fall to the player whether he accepts that role and becomes content or, continues to be upset and wants to be traded. |
