Help: Suggestions on How To Do This?

I'm trying to mirror the old NFL/AFL days, or even NBA/ABA days, with using baseball obviously, in a fictional league. MLB and the NABL(North American Baseball League).

I have used exactly, to the T, rules financials, etc. for both leagues. Some questions:

1. I'm starting out with a fantasy draft. Will leagues see players from both leagues, or only for their respective league?

2. Same with the draft, and Rule V draft. Will there be different players for each league?

3. I'm thinking, if I do an Association, and tie both leagues under one Association, I'm assuming then the answer to 1 & 2 would be Yes? I did this with Independent leagues in another universe, and it did work out, except there were no "grand" playoffs at the end of the season? Just in each individual league(Atlantic, Pecos, etc). And I did check Yes for playoffs?

4. I made a template for the current way I have it set up, and see how that plays out, then I thought I'd create an Association, and make a template on that, and play that out as another universe, just to see how things work out.

I'm just trying to create a rivalry between the two leagues, much like the NFL/AFL, or NBA/ABA. Teams vying for the same free agents, attempting to sign draft picks where the player was drafted by both leagues(doubt if this is possible).

Just another way I made up to play the game. Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Even in default setup leagues can sign any free agents. Like say mlb and Japan. Its just mlb has higher rep and bigger finances and no foreign player cap limit.

So if you want the 2 leagues to compete over good players make their reputation and financials the same.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have the leagues set up that way. Fun to experiment.
