Templetes in Challenge Mode

Just wanted to make sure I'm not crazy. Is there no way to bring a template into challenge mode? What's the reasoning behind that?

Challenge mode is the absolute worst. I use to love it but now I loathe. It locks away too much content. Ootp is all about options. This removes them, locks them and can leave you stuck if a patch or typo or setting messes with your universe.

Its ok if you are doing a quick mlb universe and playing s couple of years then restarting. Anything more in depth and it's asking for trouble.

Don't use it's evil.

Such a shame. I had created 3 levels of JUCO and 3 Divisions of NCAA and planned on adding High School teams. Not wanting to leave the game running on the setup screen, I started the game with hopes to save and come back later. I returned to find you can't add feeder leagues past the initial game set up in Challenge Mode. So I exported it created a HS league for each state and now I can't bring the template into Challenge mode. Sorry for rambling, but after like 6 hours of work I feel I'm allowed to air some minor grievances on an online forum. Just hope some dev sees this and maybe the issue can be addressed in future versions.

Without the web benefits of Leaderboards or Signatures... not really losing anything without challenge mode at the moment in my opinion. If you aren't in it for Free Perfect Team pacts at the moment I am not seeing the benefit. Might be that this feature is on it's last legs.

It really is an awful feature because it is such a trap. The #1 thing ootp has going is customization. And challenge mode locks it all away.

They should look into how Battletech does it's mode where it's based upon multipliers to get a score to compare across players. And it's Ironman doesn't lock out anything.

Yeah you should complain about it. My 1st league when it came out I didn't have internationals then you can't add them. Its pretty dumb.

I just wish they would allow us to turn off challenge mode. Some of us would like to get the extra customization back without sacrificing our saves.
