Sim vs. Playing out games

Not sure if this has been discussed.

I simulated the 2020 season for the White Sox and they had a great year. I've played out half of their season using manager only and they are awful.

Is there a real difference between simulating games vs playing them out? I can't believe I'm that horrible of a manager.

This has actually been discussed numerous times. There is no difference in the sim engine regardless of whether you play out your games or not.
