Heartbreaking Loss

Went 119-43 and LOST in Game 5 of the ALDS to the Orioles as the 2027 Royals. I am absolutely heartbroken. HOW?

Last 4 years:

2024 - ALCS loss
2025 - ALDS loss
2026 - World Series loss
2027 - ALDS loss

Will I EVER do this? My team was full of stars. I don't get it.

Dont worry when you get a mediocre team you'll win it all. Guaranteed

Many teams I've found calls up the calvary when playoffs come up. You can tell just by viewing their AB's or Innnings pitched. Hey, keeps the win total down to try to regulate how high they'll be promoted or demoted. I just finished a season where the team I played in playoffs sweep me badly (by double digits) but I had beat him 12-14 times during season. Many new faces bc during playoff match up page only about 6-8 players played against me during season. Not complaining at all...All is fair in Love & War...LOL

The 1954 Cleveland Indians say hello..... In the last 10 seasons, only once have the two teams with the best records in each league played in the World Series, and since 1969, only 13 teams have claimed baseball's best record and gone on to win the World Series. Having "stars" and winning the most games does not guarantee you will win the World Series....this isn't the NBA (unless you're Golden State lol).

Playoffs are a crapshoot. In my fictional league I just saw a 124-38 team get swept in the 1st round by a 91-71 team. And a couple of years ago the LCS was the #7 vs #8 seed. In 12 years the team with the best record has won the World Series only twice.

This is real as real can get. I'm sure if you were playing as the 2001 Mariners and got roasted in the playoffs, you'd think things were unfair and unrealistic.

Lol my owner just demanded I re-sign my aging 37 year old first basemen who I was trying to Billy Bean "give me one last good year" out of but whose wheels came off
