I found the thread where I posted all this info. I have now created a new thread so those of you still wondering can figure all this skin stuff out. Knock yourselves out. This just covers the basics of things. Gotta leave something for you to figure out.
I have sorted out by trial and error 8 of the bc color files and most of the text color files along with the function of the styles file. The styles file controls the html report pages. Most of that file is self-explanatory. bc1: back of ratings screen, in-game scoreboard, contract background, background for every other line in standings screen bc2: game set-up screen, background of standings, roster background, at-bat player, who's hot/not background bc3: drop player here box bc4: in-game players on defense bc5: "today's game", "all", "active", "previous game" in roster screen, team schedule background and a few other places bc6: positions in roster screen (highlight), player scouting report backgroudn, basic stats bars, roster set-up bars, and a few other places bc7-17: not real sure what these change. Whatever it is, it's not a frequented area. bc18: player tracker background, player search background, manager bars, game background for player ability boxes, and a few other box backgrounds bc19: stumped again bc20: standings screen league leaders background, roster screen team leaders background, line-up background and now the text colors (number lines 1-20) 1. primary main text 2. roster screen (team leaders etc.) 3. menu highlight, who's hot 4. stumped 5. main menu words (file etc.) background text 6. schedule screen game times 7-10. stumped 11. highlight league team names, roster screen positions, who's not, front office left hand words, left hand words in player screen 12-14. stumped 15. roster screen right hand words (T-5th) etc. 16-19. stumped again 20. set-up screen text, standings text (team names), text at top, roster screen names. My explanations are a little vague, but at least they give a little idea of things. Make sure when you make changes to the .ini files that you save them with the .ini extension. No changes will be made if you don't. You need to reload the skin to see changes that you made. |

Excellent. Thanks for the hard work. Would you happen to have any similar info on the actual Color.ini by any chance or doesn't that file really matter much in creating skins? Thanks again.

I haven't played around with the color.ini file. I've compared it between a number of skins, and the values are always the same. My guess is that it doesn't matter all that much. It must have some function. I might have to figure out what that is just for the heck of it.
