shortlist, the manual says no special notifications when you add a player to a shortlist but then again what does it do then?

it makes the player CAPTIALIZED on your roster list so you can tell who they are at a glance on the roster pages. If in Commish mode, there is a drop down menu to list all player that are on your short list, even if you've traded them or they've left for FA.
