How to raise fan interest with low cash?

I have ran my cash very low so can not afford to schedule monthly promotions. My market size is AVERAGE fan loyalty VERY GOOD good, ticket price is $10. My team is playing very well, in first place 2 months into the season, but doesnt seem to be raising interest much. I figure I can:

A: Lower ticket prices, raise attendance, lose revenue
B: Cut salary, make a profit so can schedule promotions next year
C: Trade prospects and average player for a higher salary player and try to win it all and hope that raises the fan interest.

My team went to the NLCS last year but didnt seem to stir up much interest, and are leading the division this year.

I think that if you lower your ticket prices and get more people to the games, you will in fact raise your fan interest as long as your team doesn't suck.

Sounds like that's not really a problem so I assume that it should work.

It depends on your stadium's capacity. If you're maxing out capacity most of the time, don't bother lowering ticket prices. You may want to cut payroll, but don't sacrifice a divisional title for it. If you feel you have a good shot, go all out and try to win it now, then start rebuilding next year.

From what I've seen, fan interest goes up more in the latter part of the season than in the early part.

Just keep winning.

Stay in a pennant race late in the season, and interest will pick up.

That actually reminds me... fan interest needs to be based on likelihood of making the postseason rather than likelihood of winning your division.... I had a time piloting the Red Sox where the Yankees just went nuts and won 120+ games. The BoSox were a great team, winning just under 110, and it was never in doubt that they'd be the wild card team. But as the season wore down and we were eliminated in mid-September, we started leaking fan interest like mad. I'd think that in that sort of situation, the fans would be gearing up for the postseason, not abandoning all hope. (Of course, that was the Red Sox, so there wasn't much hope to abandon.)

In my experience, that's only if you're contending. If you're cellar dwelling, it drops rapidly in the latter part.

Yeah this stunk. OOTP did not take into consideration if the team was in the wildcard race for fan interest. Marcus posted that the next patch should fix this.

Yes, definitely. That's what I meant.
