Post Your Favorite Team's Lineup Here Please (For TotalMinors)

hey all,

Since I am finding different information on each site (espn, mlb, cbssportsline) I figured I would ask the fans of the teams to please post your teams regular lineups, including platoon situations. If you want to get into general % of playing time for depth charts, that's cool, but just lineups would be sufficient. Lots of these sights seem to have projected lineups from March, but don't mention platoons or changes since then (i.e., Millar at 1B for Boston). Just want to make sure these are as accurate as possible.
Any help is appreciated. As you can guess, this is for the upcoming TotalMinors Opening Day Set release.

Thanks!

Reds:

SS Larkin
2b: Boone
CF: Griffey
1b: Casey
Rf: Kearns
Lf: Dunn
3b: Larson
C: Larue

Pitching: Haynes, Dempster, Graves, Anderson
Setup: Manzanillo, White
Closer Williamson
I'd put lopez at ss about 15-20 %
and at 3b about 10 %

This doesn't take into account Griffey's injury last night. Hope this helps. On a side note, i have the sporting news issue from 3-31 and it has lineups as of then. I'll check back tonight, or tomorrow and possibly post any lineups that are not posted.

StL Cards

2B Vina
RF Drew vs R (when friggin healthy)/Marrero vs L
CF Edmonds
LF Pujols
3B Rolen
1B T. Martinez
SS Renteria
C Matheny (who has done some serious changes to his batting stance and looks to be a damn good hitter this year)

E. Perez 5% 1B, 3% RF & LF
K. Robinson 3% CF + RF
E. Marrero 15% C (vs R)
M. Cairo 3% 2B, 1% 1B, 3% RF + LF, 2% 3B
W. Delgado 2% SS
O. Palmeiro 2% LF + RF
(when he comes back) J. Girardi would be 15% for both C taking Marrero's spot, Marrero would change to 3%

That was the plan, especially with Drew's chronic injury problem and Eli's good season last year.

Figured I'd post the Braves lineup, although it's been different almost every day.

SS Rafael Furcal
1B Robert Fick
RF Gary Sheffield
LF Chipper Jones
CF Andruw Jones
C Javy Lopez
3B Vinny Castilla
2B Marcus Giles

Others who will see significant playing time:

Mark DeRosa at 2B and 3B
Julio Franco and Matt Franco at 1B but mostly pinch-hitting
Darren Bragg (about equally split at all 3 OF positions)
Henry Blanco (will play 20% of the time, when Maddux pitches)

Staff: (pre-injuries)
SP Greg Maddux
SP Mike Hampton
SP Russ Ortiz
SP Paul Byrd
SP Horatio Ramirez/Jason Marquis (never determined who actually won the 5th job due to injuries, both made the Opening-day Roster)

Staff: (post-injuries)
SP Maddux
SP Ramirez
SP Ortiz
SP Marquis

Bullpen:
CL John Smoltz
Setup: Roberto Hernandez
Others are MR/Long men

(edit: spelling)

Texas seems to have a rotation at 2B and 3B of Blalock, Teixeira, and Young, although Young only plays 2nd. Here's what I'd assume to be the default lineup.

CF Doug Glanville
2B Hank Blalock
SS Alex Rodriguez
1B Rafael Palmeiro
RF Juan Gonzalez
LF Ruben Sierra
3B Mark Teixeira
DH Carl Everett
C Einar Diaz

Yesterday they had a lineup with all three in it, by putting Blalock at third, Teixeira at first, Young and 2nd, and they DH'd Palmeiro. Texas gets pretty creative, but I'd stick with the lineup above, though someone else may correct me.

I'm not sure how Kevin Mench will affect the lineup when he comes back from injury, he may very well replace Sierra, or he may just become another member of the lineup-go-round.

Good luck figuring Boston's out.. I am starting to doubt that even Grady Little knows what the lineup is going to be...

Seems to be some combination of:

CF J. Damon (even though Jackson started at CF in one of the two starts vs LH)
2B T. Walker vs RH B. Mueller vs LH (seems to be the case at least
SS Nomar Garciaparra (one of only two or three constants)
LF/DH Manny Ramirez (Sometimes in the field, sometimes the DH)
? Kevin Millar/ David Ortiz (Millar vs LH bats after Manny. He has played 1B, LF, RF and DH right now. Ortiz bats behind Manny vs RH and has played 1B and DH)

After the first 4 or 5 batters, it goes something like this from what I can tell:

3B Shea Hillenbrand vs LH (Also has played 1B vs LH as B. Mueller played 3B)
RF Trot Nixon vs RH (Seems he isnt playing as much vs LH.)
LF Jeremy Giambi vs RH (Have not seen him play as much against LH. He also has played 1B)

Finally in any game that Damian Jackson didnt start the 9th batter has been the catcher..

J. Varitek vs RH and Dough Mirabelli vs LH thus far (However Mirabelli's injury has made it hard to figure out if this is a strict platoon or only every now and again thing.)

Anyhows.. good luck figuring that out. I sure haven't yet.

The starting rotation thus far has been:

1. Pedro Martinez
2. Tim Wakefield
3. Derek Lowe
4. Casey Fossum
5. John Burkett
(even though Robert Person did well in spring training competing for a spot)

The bullpen is just as easy to figure out as the lineup is..

They have the following bullpen:
B. Howry
A. Embree
R. Mendoza
M. Timlin
C. Fox

If you know who is going to be used where, you know more than most of New England So far it looked like Alan Embree and Chad Fox had the pleasure of blowing the first few saves.. Mendoza has been used in 7th and 8th innings (Even though he did close out one game).. and who knows about Howry or TImlin..

Have fun!

Kansas City Royals lineup/roster info:

1. Michael Tucker - CF (only playing everyday due to Beltran's inj.)
2. Joe Randa - 3B
3. Mike Sweeney - 1B
4. Raul Ibanez - LF
5. Dee Brown - RF
6. Ken Harvey - DH
7. Brent Mayne - C
8. Angel Berroa - SS
9. Carlos Febles - 2B

Desi Relaford - multi purpose guy filling in @ 3B, SS, 2B, LF, RF
Brandon Berger - platoons in RF w/ Brown
Mike DiFelice - gives Mayne a rest at C
Rontrez Johnson - reserve OF who can play LF, CF, & RF
Mendy Lopez - SS whom I prefer to stay on the bench

Carlos Beltran, the regular everyday CF is injured until around mid-April (about 2 weeks from opening day). When he is back, we can put Tucker back on the bench where he belongs.

Starting rotation:

1. R. Hernandez
2. J. Affeldt
3. M. Acensio
4. C. George
5. D. May*

Middle Relievers:

1. J. Grimsley
2. R. Bukvich
3. K. Wilson
4. A. Lopez
5. D. Carrasco

Closer:

M. MacDougal

*Darrell May is the #5 starter (for instance he is scheduled to pitch today if the game doesn't get rained out) but he is also the Royals only LHP available in the bullpen. He will see time from both slots, I assume.

I know there are other Royals fans out there, so if anyone has more to add to this, please do!

Thanks for the opportunity to help out, GForce!

technically yeah...the last I heard Choi is playing the "majority" of the games against RHP, while Karros will get teh "majority" of starts against LHP.

This is pretty worthless since Brenly changes his lineup every hour, but here goes (for the D'backs)

SS Womack
CF Finley
2B Spivey
LF Gonzalez
RF Bautista
3B Williams
1B Overbay
C Barajas/Moeller (Depends on who's pitching)
P

Bench

Counsell will probably be 25% at 3B, around 15% at SS and 2B
Delluci is around 10% for RF
McCracken is around 10% for CF/RF
Grace is around 25-33% at 1B
Baerga gets spot starts (like he's starting at 2B today, but its not a regular thing)

Rotation

Johnson
Schilling
Dessens
Kim (although technically he's the #5, but got the start over Villareal)
Villareal

Bullpen

Mantei
Koplove
Myers
Batista
Randolph

Ah...the A's...

Lineup

2B Ellis
1B Hatteberg
SS Tejeda
3B Chavez
RF Long
DH Durazo
LF Long
C Hernandez
CF Singleton

Bench

Utility Inf. Menechino...he'll play sparingly to give the regulars at 3B, SS, and 2B a break.
Backup catcher, Johnson, should get his fair share of time, I'd say around 30%.
Byrnes will definitely be the designated pinch runner as usual, but could see more time in CF or LF if either of the regulars struggles.
Piatt will get a couple of starts in LF, 3B, 1B and probably DH.
Gant will see time at DH and LF.

Rotation

Hudson
Zito
Mulder
Lilly
Halama
**Harang is next in line down on the farm**

Bullpen

Bowie is the long relief man.
Neu and Fikac are the middle men.
Bradford and Rincon would be the setup guys.
Foulke is your closer.

Lately, Blalock has been 3B (Batting 2nd), Teixeira the DH (Batting 7th), and Everett has been on the bench since he tweeked something opening day. 2B is still Mike Young's to lose (Batting 8th).

Also, it's looking like Mench may replace Kreuter, I can't see them sending down Sierra yet. Sierra most likely just goes to the bench.

The White Sox:

Lineup
2B Jimenez
SS Valentin
DH Thomas
RF Ordonez
1B Konerko
LF Lee
3B Crede
CF Rowand
C Alomar Jr
Bench
Utility Inf. Graffanino...he plays sparingly, usually at SS though
Backup catcher #1, Olivio, he's the prospect of the team, but should get his fair share of time, maybe around 20%
Rios will play sparingly in the outfield, usually at CF
Backup catcher #2 Paul will basically never play, maybe 5%

Rotation
Buerhle
Colon
Garland
Loaiza
Stewart
**Wright is on the 15 day DL for now**
Bullpen
Glover is the long relief man.
Gordon and White are the middle men.

the one and only Seattle Baseball Mariners...

Starting Lineup vs l/r/DH

RF I. Suzuki

J. Mabry - 1b/DH
W. Bloomquist - 2b-SS-LF
M. McLemore - 2B-SS-3B-LF

Cirillo/Guillen see less time than other starters, with Bloomquist/McLemore/Colbrunn seeing most the action off the bench.

Martinez usually gets the no DH Interleague games off.

I'd put lopez at ss about 15-20 %
