Long term sims reflect issues with AI / PCM
As I mentioned in another thread, long term sims continually reduce offense over time, specifically through an increase in K's and reduction in BB. No matter the adjustments made, from year 1 in the sim to year 20-25 in the sim, offense is always reduced in comparison to Year 1.
I have run sims with my 80s / 90s modifiers, it happens. Ran a fictional modern day 30 team MLB setup, no change to modifiers, same thing happened. See images for stats from the modern day 30 team setup, nothing changed out of the box. At least the sim created the greatest pitcher of all time. I present Adan Rivas. Imagine peak Kimbrel or Josh Hader, but about 10% nastier. And also a starting pitcher. And not exactly realistic. I get it - it's just a game - but this may finally be the year I just walk away. I liked that I could immerse myself in something that felt like real baseball. Now, not so much. Spending 5-8 hours setting up my league just how I liked it and tweaking the stats to get the era I want - love it. Having that tweaking slowly change to an era I didn't want while I run years to create league history - don't love it. |

Is “automatically adjust modifiers for accuracy” (paraphrased as I am not in front of the game right now) checked? If so, that could explain it.

Nothing checked.
Again I don't want stats to remain exactly the same. But I also don't want the game engine to cause K's to increase, BB's to decrease, HRs to increase every single time 20+ years down the road in a sim. I do not have automatic evolution on. Never use it. To me it appears that the AI and PCM are causing this. |

I think the problem may be all modifiers are at 1.000. This is above my level of expertise, unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Appreciate the help. I did another 20 year sim where I adjusted modifiers and PCMs to get 80s/90s style stats. Still get the overall change in totals after the 20 years of simming.

I have to adjust the modifiers at the start of every year to be sure that stats remain realistic. I have too much great SP compared to position players and its like that since the start of my game ( started in 2000 and now in 2082)

Are you using the Real Life rosters? The issue could be related to the custom ratings for the manually created prospects. I imagine they weren't able to balance all of that realistically.
Hard to say it is an issue with the game unless you use custom generated players or sim way beyond any of the manually rated players. |

Always fictional. The images I posted are from a fictional league using the 30 team MLB setup. No changes to anything. Although I suspect that if you run the MLB QuickStart the same thing will happen after 20 years of simming.

Is League Evolution on?
What is your setup as far as getting new players into your league (i.e. game generated draft, feeders, foreign amateurs, etc.) |

No League evolution. Everything else is out of the box. No changes to player entry into league.
