Expansion in ootp 21

Hi.

I I reviewed the youtube vid of the ootp 20's creation of 2 expansion teams.. at the I'm wanting to know on what date they were created.. because it starts off at Oct 26. My objective is to create the teams and have the expansion draft 2 or 3 days after free agency starts. and if you expand and set expansion.. the draft is 2 days after you expand.. so going by that.. you would have to expand on salary arbitration day..

but the vid on youtube shows that the league has expanded and divisions re done on the 26th of october.. and he sims so when the expansion draft which is 2 days after free agency starting.. seems a bit contradictory..
when is the best time to expand the way I am wanting so the expansion
draft is 2 or 3 days after free agency starts.. thanks in advance

If you expand in the off-season, by default I believe it should schedule the expansion draft for a couple days after FA file. There are a few scenarios where that may not happen (depending exactly on your league setup and options).

If you expand the league and don't like the date of the expansion draft and protection lists, you can always manually reschedule those events, though, to get the timing lined up better for your universe.
