Which is more accurate?
Drew Bledsoe would have been a HOF QB if he hadn't gotten hurt.
Or........ Bill Belichek would not be a HOF coach if Drew Bledsoe didn't get hurt.

Option C:
If Drew Bledsoe never gets hurt in New England, we never hear about a guy named Tony Romo. Sent from my SM-J337VPP using Tapatalk |

D. Belichek puts up back-to-back 6-10 seasons with Bledsoe, gets fired by an impatient Kraft and hired by the Giants. There he coaches Eli Manning to 10 straight Super Bowls, only losing twice to his friend/mentor Tom Coughlin's Jacksonville Jaguars.
Or so it would seem...

I think Belichek doesn't do as well as he did without Brady and I think Brady doesn't do as he did without Belichek. It was a unique pairing that was very beneficial to them both.

Besides being a very good coach, Belichick is pretty much the GM too. His ability to field a very competitive team year in and year out while staying under the cap is his greatest strength. He's way out in front of everyone else in this regard. |
