Minor league teams for expansion franchises
Hey, in previous versions the minor league teams assigned to expansion franchises have been a little messed. In my experience, new MLB teams were assigned teams in a manner that didn't make much sense - no R teams, 2 R+ teams in the same league, 2 A- teams in the same NYP division, and so on.
Just wondering if this has been fixed for OOTP20? I know this can be done manually, but...sheesh, that's a ton of work each time there's expansion. It would be an immediate buy for me if realistic minor league team setups could be automatically incorporated into expansion. ESPECIALLY if expansion teams can start participating in drafts a couple years ahead of actually playing (like the Devil Rays and D-Backs had a R and R+ team 2 years out, two more teams the year before they started, and a full complement by the time they were ready to go). |

It has not been fixed. I would like to see an option to skip the creation of any minor league teams. Adding new teams is easy, but fixing what OOTP screws up makes it a lot harder.

Agreed. The entirety of the expansion process needs some work.

This has been arguably my pet peeve about ootp for years. The whole expansion team process has not been touched in a long time. It would seem it isn’t considered to be a priority.
