Selling your cards
Forgive me if I missed this somewhere, but I can't for the life of me figure out why I can sell some cards and am not given the option to sell others. What decides this?

You need 15 batters and 10 pitchers at all times between active and reserve rosters. (inactive doesn't count)

Probably you've run into the minimum roster requirements. You always need to have 10 pitchers and 15 position players available on your current roster/reserves. Likely that means keeping at least 2 or 3 batters in your reserves that you don't sell.
