Opener without Follower

If I list a guy in the rotation as an Opener, but don't have anyone listed as a Follower in the bullpen, will he be treated as an opener or as a regular starter? I like to do this for bullpen days.

Note: sometimes I do this with Starting capable pitchers, but I just want max effort once through the order. Not sure if a SP doing it vs a true RP would matter.

No, a guy won't be considered as an opener unless if we can find a likely follower for him.
