Opening Day Roster Patch Q
I am new to OOTP (and having way too much fun)! I have an "easy" question regarding the occasional updates/patches and the lingo you guys use that I am still trying to get used to.
For example, I understand the "game" cannot be open when an update is being downloaded, however, when the instructions state that the update (in this case player ratings) are not applicable to previous games, are you referring to games already played in the current season (ie "save")? Also, instructions state that a new game must be started for the update to be applied. Does that mean a whole new season/save has to be restarted, or simply that another game, within the season already underway must be played before the updates are effective? I'm not exactly sure how to interpret the instructions with my current season (save) already underway, and I really don't want to start a new save from day 1. Thanks for explaining, Steve |

Ratings changes only apply to the opening day rosters. Once you progress, the development engine takes over so there isn't really a way to "update" ratings in a current save since they are actually two different realities. So yes, the only way to be able to use the updated ratings is to start a new save.

If you’re already in a Live game, there’s a manual update option in the game settings, which I think will put new ratings on to players. That’s the only thing that can be updated in a current game though.

Can anybody else not get the new roster changes to show up? I've installed the new version of the game, followed Markus's suggestion of forcing the game data to update, but no contract extension for DeGrom shows up. Annoyed.

[QUOTE=PocketsAintFull;4464633]I’ve had the same thing re: the DeGrom contract. Have posted under ‘Roster Issues’ in the bug forum, glad it might not just be me
[/QUOTEI also am having the same problem and on both my MacBook Pro and my Windows PC. I just got it working on my Windows PC (HP Cube). Hopefully it will work on my MacBook Pro and my Alienware laptop, and yes I play on all three and yes I have three computers cause I like sharing (I have 7 grandchildren)!!
