NFL Draft - Bosa or Murray

Living in AZ, the predominant topic of discussion on sports talk radio lately has been the Cardinals and what they will do with the #1 pick. I understand the whole Kyler Murray thing and how he may be a good fit for the Air Raid offense and all that...but before the combine, EVERYONE listed Bosa as the clear #1, regardless of who was picking. All mock drafts from the tail end of the regular season until the combine had Bosa going #1. All of sudden after Murray measured, he became the #1 athlete and best overall pick. What changed? I can understand if people are buying into the hype and saying he's a better fit for the Cardinals than Rosen...but what i'm reading is that he is the #1 overall athlete OVER Bosa. So did Bosa get worse someone? Murray got better? so confused...

Not followed college football for a bit, but a friend is a 49ers fan and he was saying a fair amount of 49er fans would prefer Williams or Allen over Bosa.

It depends. If you need a DT then Williams is your guy. As far as Murray goes, I don't even think he's the best QB in the draft let alone overall player. Murray is one of those QBs that can play well in college, but not an NFL quarterback. They'd be wasting their pick on him. Especially when they already have a QB. They should focus on putting weapons around him.

1. Bosa hasn't been "seen" on the field since September.

2. Murray was never a serious thought last August because he had never started.

3. Murray was never a serious thought last August because he was already signed to the A's.

4. When @ Tex Tech, Kliff Kingsbury said he'd take Murray #1 if he had the first pick. He now has the 1st pick.

5. Draft time, QB's are almost always overvalued. If you're a draftable QB, you'll be gone by the 3rd. If you are one of the top 5 QB's, it's doubtful you'll be hanging in the green room after day 1. If you are the top one it will be a huge upset if you don't know your pro destination in the 1st half hour of the draft.

6. Cards management is a dumpster fire right now. They fired a coach after one season. They have apparently given up on a QB they just selected in the 1st round last season. And they hired a college coach who couldn't win half his games. So going by the textbook isn't exactly Arizona's m.o. right now.

7. Through it all, you can't trust any draft news you hear because front offices purposefully put out false info to throw the hounds off the scent. And with sports in the desert in sucky mode right now, the 1st pick is the best thing fans in 'zona have going right now. So, expect a lot of talk with no substance.

yeah def understand a lot of the talk is "subterfuge"...just find it odd that all the draft experts are now ranting and raving about Murray when a few months ago it was Bosa Bosa Bosa.
I'm with you...I think Cards would be wasting the pick when they have a 1st RD (top 10) QB on the roster. Too many other holes to fill up and down the roster.

true, but the Cards are rebuilding for the second time in 2 years. if you want kingsbury to succeed, murray might give them a better chance? They can probably flip Rosen to a team who need a good project QB for a first

If they can get a first for Rosen either this year or in next year's draft I'd take it.

If they could get a first for him, why would they trade him and pick another QB? It would also spike their dead cap to over 33 Mil. What a train wreck.
