Retire a Perfect Team

How do we retire a team? I only want to have one team at a time. How do I retire my 2019 perfect teams?

Just set a good lineup and never login again. That's pretty much it and would be appreceated by the guys still in your league.

There is no option to do that. You can either set the team to be run by the AI or set the lineups and let it run itself. If you ever do change your mind, there should be a nice pile of PP accumulated. At one time the Devs mentioned something about setting teams that have been "abandoned" (not signed into for a period of time) and set them to AI. Not sure if that is still the case.

That would be a great idea.

I think in the long run this still needs to be addressed.

There need to be checks and balances to avoid abuse but the current approach is really not giving people a way to start fresh easily and enjoy those early stages of the game.
Personally, those early seasons of using Ichiro, Pete Rose and other current roster players were some of the most fun ones.

People should be able to re-do these seasons without having to buy more licenses and e-mail addresses and then litter the system with abandoned teams.

Maybe a re-start/removal of current team (after the current season is over) requires a minimum number of played seasons to prevent abuse.

Put your good players on the auction block and quick-sell the rest?

No, doing this will disrupt the competitive balance of your leagues.

I agree with a reset or some variable of it. I do not think that a re-setter should get all their points back though. That is the same as buying a shirt and wearing it to a wedding and then returning it and saying it didn't fit right so give me a refund.

That's what I think. You go to a restaurant and have a steak. You're hungry the next day and go back to the restaurant. They don't owe you another steak.

Players will then be left with only one good option if they want to reset: play a bunch of irons and sell everyone else.

Not sure that's a "good" option as you'd potentially get banned.

Sell them off slowly while rebuilding or simply quit and leave your good lineup in if you're having a rotten time with the game.

I'll be auctioning my cards off and starting fresh. I'll use 19 to test strategies for my pt team in 20.
