As the countdown continues, a question:
Will there be potential technical hurdles if hundreds of people try to download the game at once? Will it take longer, perhaps? Just curious, since my hope is to start playing at 3:30 a.m. West Coast time, once download is complete!

It all depends on your connection. There are two other mirrors. Here is MY estimated time for downloads. My opinion, been a while since I've used a Broadband service...
28k - 2 Hours Max 56k - 45 Minutes Max ISDN - 15 Minutes Cable/DSL - 1-2 minutes. |

Seeing as how I am still in the dark ages - 56K dial-up, I will wait for a day or two to order.
Don't wish to be a server hog, heh heh. Sigh. 45 minutes to download. |

I'm going to hog the server. You know it, I cannot wait any longer than I have to.

I have one of those personal servers from file planet, so it's all good

It's sixy dollars per year and it came with a free subscription to computer gaming world. I download lots of patches, mods, etc...So I figured it was a good investment for me. Of course now that I know I'll be downloading OOTP4 with no hassles it seems just a tad cooler

60 bucks eh?...internal debate...groceries, or the chance to not have to wait in line for OOTP4...hmmm...
I don't download anything from FilePlanet other than OOTP stuff. I can see how it'd be a good investment though if I needed other stuff. Looks like I'll hog the server like everyone else.
