Cato's Utility Question
Just started using this and must say thanks to Cato, a great addition to a great game.
My question - Do I need to delete anything from within the DB when I do the following year. Like the HTML files or anything? I did the first year, ran everything and had no problems at all. Now I have finished the 2nd year, and am ready to "import data". Once the data is imported and everything updated in the db, when I go to "Create HTML Pages", should I delete the previous ones first, or will they just be updated automatically? Tks........ |

If the previously-output HTML files still exist, they will be updated automatically. You don't need to delete any DB or HTML files.
One thing - the default behaviour of the utility is to only output TEAM pages for the most recent year. This option is on the File | Options | Output tab, and is called "Current Year Team Summary Only." If you have the old HTML pages, you can leave this unchecked (which is the default option). If you deleted your HTML output files, you would need to check this option before outputting HTML from the utility (when the option's checked, it outputs ALL years, not just the current one). |
