Bryce Harper in LF?

New player here. Bryce is not rated there, but if I were to put him there, how much does in penalize his defense?

Thanks in advance

He will start building a rating in LF as he gains experience, He has his skills, speed etc., to fall back on but he will be rated zero to begin,

The weird thing I've encountered is that my Bryce has randomly switched back and forth a couple times between being listed in game as a LF and a RF. While this did occur after he had been trained up in LF, this has been independent of where he played.

Thanks very much. How long did it take for your Bryce to get trained up and what was the max rating he got to?

Harper should get up to a 79 rating from what I'm seeing around the league. As for how long it will take, I don't know how that formula works, but I'd anticipate somewhere close to a full season of play to get him to that level.

Thanks. Defense is such a critical part of this game as I am learning.....I try to have 80's and 90's at every position, but the LF options for a newer team for Defense aren't so hot. Can only take Alex Gordon for so long ; )

How is he doing offensively for your team?

I'm finding him to be much like real life...overrated!

Harper has a 30 ratings at CF, if I were to play him there would he ''learn'' that position and get better there as well ? The question goes for any other cards as well, if a player already have a rating at a position can he still get better there with playing time ?

Thanks.

I would not recommend playing Harper in CF. Yes, players can get better but it depends on their underlying ratings. Harper doesn't have the range to be a good CF.

Yeah maybe Harper wasn't the best example. But my questions was for cards in general, if they could get better at a position that they already have a rating at. Sounds like they can, thank you !!
