Draft Day trades

In the 1986 amateur draft using "real" players, Barry Bonds (G/B/B 5*'s) went first overall to Minnesota. I had the last pick of the first round and picked Bruce Ruffin (A/G/A/A) talent with an ERA of 7 as the last pick of the first round. I then immediately (before the second round even started) traded him to Minnesota for Barry Bonds!

The AI seems to draft based exclusively on talent, but values ratings much more when it comes to trades. There also seems to be a trade premium on ERA 7 or more pitchers, regarless of talent. An ERA 6 with great talent ratings won't get you Bonds, but a 7 ERA Ruffin (who became a 6 ERA not long after the season started) can get you the top propect in the league.
