Question about tournaments

I've noticed that in international tournaments, teams are earning different amounts of points for winning games. For example, In the U18 world Championships, Canada has gaines 4 points from 2 wins out of 2 games played. But Finland got 3 points for winning their only game. Why is that?

Maybe both wins came after SO/OT !?

That's most likely it. Most international tournaments use a 3-2-1-0 Scale, with 3 points awarded for a regulation win, 2 for an overtime win, 1 for an OT loss, and 0 for just a loss.

Canada's wins were actually in regulation. It's happening again in the Hlinka Gretzky tourney as well.

Are you sure they were in regulation? Check Canada U18's schedule and see if they're listed as OTW. I just looked through several international tournaments (including the U18 and Hlinka-Gretzky) that use 3/2 for RW/OTW, and they're all awarding points correctly.

Is there a way to do away with tournaments in an already created custom game?

In a custom game? No tournaments in those. But even in a standard game, no, they can't be removed.
