OMG this pack
Had 3000 points when I got home from work on a Monday. Do I buy Paxton? Nah, let's do packs. Pulled the first card and knew I'd made the right decision regardless of what followed.
And OMG what followed. Still haven't opened the other two packs. Had to take a pic immediately and then post or I'd forget.

My buddy just pointed out to me that there’s a card of every type (color) there. Crazy.
Needless to say, that’s the best pack either of us have ever opened. And not a gold pack! Guess I lose the right to complain about pack luck. Ever. |

And yet I constantly pull 5 guys in the 40's and a 2B who can't walk, field, run or hit that's rated 53...

To get a natural card cycle you'd need to start with the iron, then bronze, etc Wouldn't want to work out the odds on that!

This thread just made 125 viewers re-think their claim they'll never "waste" PP on card packs ever again...

Okay, next goal: get somebody to get a card cycle of all left-handed pitchers. Or of all American League players. Or of all players with six letters in both their first and last name!

Pretty sure that was a "Starter Pack", which don't have the guaranteed Bronze on an individual pack basis. However, everyone's starter packs were even (regarding the number of each card level) overall.

I used the AH to get myself a few golds for my still mediocre bronze league team.
But I have since gone back to buying packs. Sure I have gotten many many duds but early pack has at least one player who makes my team a tiny bit better and I feel so much more connected to my players that I get out of random pack pulls than with players I purchased via the AH. I am a competitive person in RL but I do not feel so competitive playing PT. I more enjoy collecting and learning about players and watching my pack pulled players go through their digital seasons. |
