Why I Think PT is a Perfect Fit

I am really enjoy reading what people are writing about PT. Even the cranky ones. I especially love the back and forth between writers about the "right" way to play. Should you try to be Moby Dick or Ahab? George Steinbrenner or Bill Veeck? Joe McCarthy or Tony LaRussa?

BTW, if my references seem dated, it's because I am as well. For you younger folks, as Casey Stengel said, "You could look it up."

Actually they're all "right." Hence the title of this thread.

The fact that there are so many approaches to PT play demonstrates the accomplishment of the OOTP team. Good on you, folks! It crowns the legacy of innovation and care you have built.

I myself have never played OOTP before this. I lost interest in baseball around the turn of the millennium, so the modern game and players have little meaning for me. I have been buying OOTP since becoming an FHM player just to support the company.

Then came PT. I am now up to three teams, replacing the modern day players with those I saw and read about back in the day. Don't know what a Mookie Betts is, but pulling one from a pack is gonna speed up the development of the Aceldama Butchers as soon as the auction ends. It'll take some of the sting out of the Port Ruppert Mundys losing a Benito Santiago auction by one PP in the final minute. That was excruciating, but what fun.

It'll take some time to get it where I want, but baseball is not about instant gratification. It's about seasons. And a season a week is pretty quick.

Take your time and enjoy the ride.

I am also very happy for Markus and company. After all these years of putting out a great product he will now Be getting rewarded nicely for it. He deserves everything he can get. This game has brought me enjoyment for almost 2 decades for little cost. .....

I always feel if we can complain we can also compliment a product. I just want you to know that you have brought pleasure to me for years on end for literally nothing and now maybe I can repay you some by supporting PT. Sure I complain sometimes about things I do not agree with but such is life and you do listen even if you go the other way. Lol.

Just wanted to state that you deserve whatever you can get out of a very fine product. I know it has brought me enjoyment for years on end and hopefully will carry on for years to come. Here’s to a Happy New Year my friend. Hope it is the BEST ever.....

PT has helped me get back into playing more! I have been playing a Challenge Mode game, and having fun with that.

Surprised to see how the 3D engine has come along, it gets me back to the Micro League Baseball days, which was always a childhood favorite.
