incorporating career leaders into league

I was curious as to know if there was a way or maybe a file out there that takes the historical league leaders into account.

So when I look at career leaders in the almanac, is there a way for it to show Hank Aaron at 715 HRs above A-Rod who has 670 in my career?

I don't really need to add it to this career. I just want to know if it's possible for me to incorporate into future careers.

I don't know if it's been done, but I know how it could be done, and it's a bit of work, but might be worth it if you want real accuracy.

You could find the top 25 players in each career category. You could do this from a book or by adding up info in the Lahman database.

Then import each one into the game using the year after he retired as his import year.

Give everyone a career-ending injury.

For the first season, all the players will show up as still active and sit in the FA pool. They will all retire at the end of the year.

An alternate way to do it if you want them all to show up as retired is to create a fictional league in the year previous to the one where you want to start (2002 if it's current) and do the same thing. Play out a schedule of just a few games to get through a season. At the end of the year, when the players retire, they will all be saved in the retired.dat file. Since the fictional players weren't around long enough, they won't go to the retired.dat file. You could then take that retired.dat file and put it in any league and those players will show up as retired.
