Contract Extension Negotiations Question

As much as I love OOTP5 my online still hasnt upgraded to it yet (boo) so I am stuck with OOTP4 for all my online addiction for now...

At any rate, here is my question and the example:

Player A is currently in his free agent year with his team.
If that team totally screws up contract negotiations with Player A and the guy declares he is going to free agency and will never resign with that team, and then that team trades Player A to a new team, does Player A reset to neutral in contract negotiations for his new team, or does his anger carry over and the new team has no chance at resigning him?

I'm fairly certain that it resets, though not 100% sure.
