Question Is There Anyway To Sell This Game?

I'm basically finding that I don't have the time for OOTP5. It's depth is too time consuming. I know that this will seem very foriegn to most of you, but lately I've also had no interest in playing it. It's a great game, but just not for me.

I spent $35 for it and I'd like to get some of that back by selling the game.

I know that I can't sell 1 licence and keep the other. If I sell it, I'll sell both.

A couple questions.

1) I can sell the two licences, right?

2) How would I go about transfering the licence to someone else?

3) Anyone wanna make me an offer?

This person asks a question and the you feel you have to make this into just another one of BS threads???

Come on he asked a question answer him or don't....Don't turn everything into a big joke... Sorry If I seem rude...But does everything have to be a joke to you people?

themoguler I don't see why you couldn't sell him your license...You'd have to uninstall the game and give that person your Order ID #....And then make sure you destroy your copy of that number.

I like jokes. They're funny.

I concur

Anyway, a little humor never hurt anyone right? If people are having a good time, so be it, as long as it doesn't get out of hand right? And it hasn't.

The licenses are tied into the order ID number. For each order ID you are allowed 2 licenses.

Probably the best way would be to send the person who buys it from you the receipt.txt file that is in your 400 studios/OOTP5 folder. There is no pertain information from you on the receipt so the person getting it would not be able to get any information about you from it, the only thing on it really is the Order ID# which is needed to license the game.

The one problem that I could forsee from selling it would be; how would the person get their licesnses back if they were to experience a HD crash, etc. I'm not sure if or the process to transfer the information from your email account to theirs.

So I basically unlicence the game and then send the receipt with the order ID# to that person who buys it. Distroy the reciept and that should do it?

I think so. The concern would be whether elicense acknowledges the transfer. If the new owner has a problem with licensing and needs to have Via Tech do something, his purchase info would need to be in their records, since they use CC# to confirm purchase.

Accardo that answer reminded me of what Malleus used to do to n00bs that got so many people angry. The guy just had a simple question.

What Malleus did to "n00bs" was drive them away with personal insults and indecent language. I see no similarity whatsoever.

Get a Klew1987

Don't be too hard on AccardoOutfit29.

Altho I did put this Klew1987 on my buddy list and sure enough he was on. I was about to IM him about the game, but something didn't smell right. I quickly did a search on these boards and found a thread where Klew wanted people to GIVE him licenses for free. LOL. I proceeded to drop Mr. Klew from my buddy list and that is that. No harm done.

If anyone is interested, I'm on AIM at TheMoguler.

Thanks.

I think you should wait for an administrator to respond to this thread before you do anything, instead of the people saying "I think it'd be okay if you did so and so."

The juxtaposition of your avatar and your remarks was a grand joke. Your sly sense of humor brightened my day; thanks.

I'm pretty sure I'm able to sell the license as long as I sell all of them and discard the ID# afterwards. I would like an administrator to comment, but I'm not going to wait forever.

You're better off waiting in case this isn't allowed.

PM someone or e-mail them instead of sitting on your hands thinking "Why don't they respond??"

FYI, quoting a post by Andreas Raht, quoting the read-me license agreement that pops-up when you install the game.

"You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this license agreement provided you retain no copies and the
recipient agrees to the terms of this license agreement. If the Software is an upgrade, any transfer must include
the upgrade and all prior versions. (...) You agree to these terms automatically once you install the game! "
