Trouble Activating License
So I sent a support ticket on this yesterday but am a little impatient and was hoping someone maybe could assist.
I've been playing OOTP for many years and have never run into this problem before. I purchased a new computer and am trying to activate my license on the new computer. The trouble lies in the fact that I can only activate the license when running OOTP in ADMIN mode on my computer. I typically am not logged in as an admin though - just a local user. When I enter the license it says "the game could not be activated". If I run it as an admin,it activates the license just fine. However, I need to run it as an admin to play the game as well. If I run it as a local user it just starts in DEMO mode. Running Windows 10, which was the same I had on my older computer where I was able to play as a local user no problem. My initial thought was there was something blocking the internet access for whatever activates the license, and I tried temporarily turning off my firewall and anti-virus, which did nothing to solve the problem. Any ideas? |

Yeah, that's actually what I wound up doing. It's a minor inconvenience, but one I'll have to deal with every day, so I'm still wondering if there's a way to avoid this?
Never had this problem before - and especially since I was operating the same OOTP 19 on the same Windows 10 before it seems weird to me. |
