Edit Player Ratings??

I'm part way through my season and i was wondering if you can edit player ratings? i remember seeing a message once before about editing ratings by going through the read me file. I found where it shows the players ratings through Microsoft word, and when a change a rating and try to save it, it says THIS FILE IS READ ME ONLY. Do i save it as somthing else, or am i even doing it right. Also if i do change ratings will it ruin my season at all, if i'm already half way through. Thanx

The only time you can't edit is if you are playing in "manager mode", some say you can edit using the csv export/import but I have not tried it so can't address that.

If you're not in manage mode, go to a player and turn the editor on. That's simple enough. If you are in manage mode, you have to export the player ratings to a csv file, edit them (preferably with Excel or another spreadsheet, though you can do it with any text editor), then import them again.
