How Does OOTP Handle Dual Monitors?

Looking at anew refurbished PC.. i see several deals offering dual 17" monitors and am wondering how that would look on OOTP.

Side note: i have gone thru every YouTube video to speed up my current PC to no avail.. Any help would be appreciated. Mod feel free to move this to GD.

I've been using dual monitor setup since maybe 16 or 17 no issues.

I would suggest running the game in windowed mode with maximized window size as running the game in full screen mode will cause the game to minimize when ever you click on something not on the main screen.

Advice to speed up your PC? Slow when running OOTP? Well if your 'PC' is slow when using OOTP its most likely your HD - moving to a SSD would help that. Or buying a HD built for gaming should help with read/write times.

There is no real advantage to using dual monitors with OOTB itself afik. Dockable windows would be great so you could look at stats windows while doing something else. The game seems really conducive to dual monitors so maybe in a future release?

Can you post some screenshots on what it looks like?

wait - I think I misunderstood what you're trying to do. Looks like you're trying to span the game over both monitors. That I do not know is possible, and to be honest never even thought about trying to do so. Really don't need the game that big

My setup is having the game windowed full screen on the main monitor while I can be browsing the web etc. on the second while I wait for the perfect team timer to sim another day

in the gpu settings you can either clone or extend desktop. you drag windows to one screen or the other.

e.g. you could drag a media player or browser over to 'other' display while ootp is still fullscreen in other. watch/stream as you play without one window hidden or 2 small windows etc.

not sure if nvidia offers this option, but most likely they do and a quick google search could help if you have that kind of GPU.

amd gpu's have a feature that will allow you to use multiple moniters as one field of view... 2 probably wouldn't be optimal due to resulting aspect ratio. anyway, if you get/have 4 screens, you can mount/stack them in a normal, albeit larger, 16:9 configuration and use the amd feature to make each part of 1 "desktop."

can you imagine 4 large screens stacked in a grid? some of those nicer tv's with the super limited bezel would be nice to limit seams. better get a water cooler for that gpu if it is running 3d games on 4 1080p displays, i bet. probably a $1000+ gpu in order for it not to spontaneously ignite while attempting, lol. maybe a water cooler too.

I ended up getting an HP laptop instead for $180. Its not the best but I have had less problems with 19 on it so far then I have had with 19 and in some ways even 18 on my Lenovo PC.
